VINANSIA.COM - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) recently launched the groundbreaking for four major projects in Nusantara, the new capital city of Indonesia, with a total investment of Rp 4.9 trillion.

These projects include a new bank office and several hotels, backed by Royal Golden Eagle, PT Bank Central Asia Tbk, Swiss-Belhotel Nusantara, and PT Intiland Development.

Minister of Public Works and Housing, Basuki Hadimuljono, reported that private sector investments in Nusantara now total Rp 56.2 trillion, with an additional Rp 85 trillion allocated from the state budget for 108 development packages.

The projects include PT Intiland Development's Grand Whiz Nusantara, Nusantara Quarter, and Royale Nusantara Golf Resort & Residence.

President Jokowi emphasized that moving the capital to Nusantara involves not only relocating physically but also transforming mindsets, working styles, and mobility, including a shift to electric vehicles.

Jokowi also inaugurated the Bank Central Asia office and the Swiss-Belhotel Nusantara. He highlighted the accelerated infrastructure development, such as the completion of the Balikpapan-Nusantara toll road by the end of the year, which will cut travel time to 40-50 minutes, and the forthcoming Nusantara Airport, which will facilitate quick access to the capital.
