VINANSIA.COM - The establishment of hospitals in the New Capital City (IKN) is a major initiative aimed at bolstering Indonesia's healthcare infrastructure. Both government and private sectors are heavily investing in several hospitals to enhance healthcare services for the local population.

Currently, four hospitals are under construction in IKN:

1. RS Hermina
  - Type: Private hospital
  - Capacity: Initially 100 beds, with plans to expand to 200 beds
  - Services: Emergency care, maternal and child health, and medical rehabilitation
  - Expected Opening: July 2024
  - Investment: Rp 650 billion

  RS Hermina will be one of the first private hospitals in IKN, providing a range of essential services to support community health.

2. RS Abdi Waluyo
  - Type: First hospital to be built in IKN
  - Capacity: Approximately 400 beds
  - Services: Specialized sub-specialty care
  - Investment: Around Rp 2 trillion

  As the pioneer hospital in IKN, RS Abdi Waluyo will offer advanced care and specialized treatments to address the area's growing healthcare needs.

3. RS Mayapada
  - Type: Environmentally friendly hospital
  - Status: Under construction

  RS Mayapada is designed to be a model of sustainability, featuring eco-friendly elements that align with green building standards to reduce its environmental footprint.

4. RS IKN (Ministry of Health Hospital)
  -Type: International referral center
  -Capacity: 250 beds
  -Services: Focused on cardiology and stroke care
  -Expected Opening: August 17, 2024

  RS IKN will function as a high-quality referral center specializing in heart and stroke care, meeting international standards.

Facilities and Health Services

Each hospital in IKN is set to offer a comprehensive range of healthcare services, including:

- Emergency Department (IGD)
- Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
- Emergency surgery
- VIP and standard inpatient rooms
- General and executive clinics
- Telemedicine services
- Medical rehabilitation

Additionally, these hospitals will incorporate the green building concept, with about 20% of the area dedicated to green spaces and healing gardens.

Expectations and Goals

President Joko Widodo envisions these new hospitals as a means to reduce the necessity for Indonesians to seek medical treatment abroad. By focusing on advanced care for heart disease and stroke, this initiative aims to significantly enhance local healthcare services and attract residents and investors to IKN.
