VINANSIA.COM - With just three days remaining before the registration for the candidate for Regent and Deputy Regent of West Bandung, Jeje Richie Ismail has not yet confirmed who his running mate will be for the 2024 Regional Election in West Bandung Regency (KBB).

Jeje's original running mate was Abdul Harris Bobihoe from the Gerindra Party, but Harris has withdrawn, necessitating a replacement.

"We are still preparing for the registration requirements. We are still waiting for the vice candidate," Jeje said after attending the KBB Regional House of Representatives (DPRD) inauguration at Hotel Novena Lembang on Monday (August 26).

Although there is no confirmation yet on who will replace Harris, Jeje mentioned that the final decision would be announced tonight after he attends a meeting in Jakarta.

"The decision will be made tonight. Right after this, I’m heading to Jakarta for a meeting. The decision will be made by tonight," Jeje explained.

Jeje further emphasized that the change in the vice candidate is only about the running mate's figure and not related to party support. He assured that Gerindra's support remains solid and unchanged.

"Gerindra continues to fully support us. This is only about who will accompany me as vice-regent," he asserted.

Jeje hopes that whoever is chosen will work well together for the benefit of the people of West Bandung. "I hope that my future partner will be the best for West Bandung," he concluded.
