VINANSIA.COM – Nahdlatul Ulama Executive Board (PBNU) has just secured a major mining license for a 26,000-hectare coal site in East Kalimantan. This land, formerly owned by the Bakrie Group, is one of the largest mining concessions in Indonesia.

PBNU's new venture into the mining sector marks a significant expansion of its activities beyond its traditional focus on religious and educational work.

Operations are set to begin in January 2025, aiming to boost coal production and support national energy needs.
