Vinansia.com - Majelis Taklim Azzarah was inaugurated at the Arrasy Al Barokah Mosque in Beatrix Modern Market, Lembang, West Bandung Regency (KBB), Wednesday, October 2, 2024.
The inauguration was carried out by representatives of the Office of the Ministry of Religious Affairs (Kemenag) and witnessed by hundreds of congregants from among mothers in Lembang and surrounding areas, community leaders, and other invited guests.
In this management, Hj Violia Azzarah was appointed as Chairperson of Majelis Taklim Azzarah, then treasurer by Hj Tati Astro, and Secretary Hj Sutanti Herlina. The inauguration coincided with Arrasy's Maulid Akbar.

In his speech, the representative of the KBB Ministry of Religious Affairs conveyed a mandate to Hj Violia and all its members to continue to strengthen togetherness and strengthen the role of Majelis Taklim (MT) Azzarah as the frontline in religious and social development.
"Majelis Taklim Azzarah must be a source of inspiration in proselytizing activities and fostering the ummah," he said.
Meanwhile, Hj Violia Azzarah said that this inauguration was an important moment for Majelis Taklim (MT) Azzarah, which has been known as a forum for Muslim women to deepen religious knowledge and also play an active role in social community activities.
"Alhamdulilah, thank you for the mandate given, God willing, I am committed to bringing this assembly to a better direction by strengthening the synergy between members and running programs that benefit the community," she said.
According to him, this is not just about leadership, but how to jointly build and strengthen this assembly for the common good. Because the best person is the one who can provide benefits to others.
One of the main focuses that the board will pay attention to is the economic empowerment program for Muslim women in KBB. In addition to deepening religious teachings, Muslim women also need to be empowered economically in order to be independent and contribute to improving the welfare of families and communities.
"We hope that through this program, the economy of Muslim women in KBB can increase significantly. We will encourage them to engage in productive business activities that are in line with Islamic values," she said.
Economic empowerment programs will be one of the priorities in his leadership. In addition, MT Azzarah will also strengthen religious propagation programs by involving more participation from the community, especially the younger generation.
The involvement of the younger generation is very important so that the activities of the assembly remain relevant and continue to develop along with the dynamics of the times. Not only a place of recitation, MT Azzarah is expected to become a center of social and economic activities that are useful for its members.
Through the programs that will be developed, it is hoped that this assembly will be able to bring real changes to the welfare of Muslim women in KBB. And the success of MT Azzarah in the future does not only depend on the chairman, but also on all members and community support.
"We all have an important role to play in advancing this assembly, which now has around 300 members. In the future, this assembly will continue to be developed throughout the district and currently has a routine recitation program every Wednesday," she concluded.
