VINANSIA.COM - PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk. or BNI (BBNI) reported a consolidated net profit of Rp10.7 trillion for the first half of 2024. This represents a 3.8% year-on-year (YoY) increase compared to Rp10.3 trillion in the same period last year.
BBNI disbursed loans totaling Rp726.98 trillion in the first half of 2024, marking an 11.71% YoY rise from Rp650.77 trillion. Customer deposits grew by 0.96% YoY, reaching Rp772.32 trillion from Rp765 trillion.
The bank's low-cost current account savings account (CASA) deposits also increased by 2.51% YoY, reaching Rp545.69 trillion, up from Rp532.34 trillion. However, BNI reported a 7.43% YoY decline in net interest income (NII), which amounted to Rp19.07 trillion for the first half of 2024, down from Rp20.6 trillion in the same period of 2023.
