VINANSIA.COM - In a decisive moment at the XI Golkar National Congress on August 21, Bahlil Lahadalia has been elected as the new Chairman of Golkar for the 2024-2029 term.
The unanimous vote marks the end of Airlangga Hartarto’s leadership and ushers in Bahlil, currently Indonesia’s Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, as the party's new leader.
The election was concluded with full consensus among delegates, who endorsed Bahlil’s appointment without any opposition.
He will now take charge of forming the new DPP Golkar leadership team, effective immediately. This shift follows the disqualification of Ridwan Hisjam, clearing the path for Bahlil's rise.
